Research Associate
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and designing rodent immunization studies.
- Prepare antigens and adjuvants for immunization.
- Perform cell culture tasks.
- Carry out in vivo immunization in rodents including various injections, animal health monitoring, collection of blood and tissue samples.
- Isolate immune cells and prepare RNA samples.
- Coordinate sample shipment.
- Organize department databases and keep clear study records.
- Participate in company’s scientific activities, provide scientific input to the team and study projects. Able to perform technical troubleshooting in cell culture and immune cell isolation from tissues.
- Maintain lab supplies.
Qualifications:
- M.Sc.or B.Sc. in Biological Sciences (prefer cell biology or immunology background) with at least 3 – 5 years of experience in cell culture and/or immunology work environment.
- Excellent cell culture techniques.
- Experience with rodent handling and in vivo techniques including blood and tissue sample collection, and various injection techniques.
- Detail oriented, and strong ability to deliver accurate and reliable experimental results.
- Excellent team player; good written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent documentation and organizational skills.
